Attention 90s kids, here is something that will leave you with tears in your eyes and smile on your face. Our all-time favorite “The Lion King” is getting a CGI-makeover.

All thanks to director Jon Favreau of The Jungle Book fame, the 1994 Disney classic will soon be seen on the big screen in July 2019 as the real-life adaptation. Made with photorealistic computer-animated technology, The Lion King teaser just hit the internet and is melting the social media.

The Lion King teaser opens with Mufasa telling Simba (unseen) that his time as  the king will be over one day and that’s when Simba will take over Pride Rock. Everything looks jawdropping magnificent as the animals assemble at the foot of Pride Rock as Rafiki, the baboon, presents Simba as Mufasa’s heir.

If you are wondering, “Circle Of Life,” (the music that is right now playing in your head, we bet) is heard in the backdrop. Be ready for the goosebumps.

The voice cast of the movie include Donald Glover as Simba and James Earl Jones as Mufasa. While Chiwetel Ejiofor is the voice for Scar’s character, Timon and Pumba (Simba’s sidekicks) will be played by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen, respectively. John Kani will dub for Rafiki.
