Here comes something exciting to spice up your summers. Netflix just dropped the trailer of original Hindi series Sacred Games just a while ago and it is just the thing we need in these dull summer evenings.

Don’t believe us? With Radhika Apte, Nawazzudin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan helmed by directors Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap on board, you will agree with us too.

Sacred Games have been already in the buzz since its announcement. The launch of the trailer has only heightened up the excitement level among the audience, especially the fans of Nawazuddin as well as Anurag and Vikramaditya.

The trailer begins with ‘cop without a case’ Saif Ali Khan’s Sardar character, Sartaj, taking up the call from an unknown number in which caller warned him to save Mumbai. When Sartaj informs his superior played by Neeraj Kabi who apparently does not have much faith in him, he is suspended from the duty.

However, Radhika Apte, whose character is a RAW analyst, becomes Sartaj’s accomplice in stopping Ganesh from destroying Mumbai. What follows is the glimpse of spine-chilling high voltage drama with Nawazuddin’s character Ghaitonde declaring himself as “god.”

The action goes further up a notch with a montage of Gaitonde throwing money at a dancer, loads of guns and Gaitonde and Singh tightening the grip on each other. Not to skip the hip-hop soundtrack playing in the background.

Sacred Games marks the first collaboration of Saif Ali with Nawazuddin. The series comprises of eight episodes and is based on Vikram Chandra’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name.

With Nawazuddin and Saif in action directed by none other than Anurag himself, Sacred Games can easily be India’s answer to “Narcos,” the popular Netflix drama that followed the life of Pablo Escobar for two seasons.

All eight episodes of Sacred Games Season 1 will be available on July 6 on Netflix. Until then, watch the trailer right here:
