Manmarziyaan Trailer Review: Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal,Taapsee Pannu Next By Anurag Kashyap Looks Like Intense, Toxic Love Triangle

(Last Updated On: August 9, 2018)

And when it was going too dull and boring, Eros Now dropped the Manmarziyaan trailer just a while ago. It is easily the freshest, exciting and the sizzling new thing on the internet in quite a long time.

Manmarziyaan stars Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in the lead. The movie is directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Aanand L Rai along with Phantom Films.

Manmarziyaan trailer begins with a hot and steamy demeanor of spunky Taapsee aka Rumi, who is lip-locked with tattoo-clad Vicky Kaushal aka Vicky. Set in a middle-class suburban family, this seems to be a story of another new-age couple madly in love but clueless about their future.

Enters Abhishek Bachchan aka Robbie in a heart-skipping moment as a seemingly perfect “shaadi material”, well-settled boy. Going by the chooda on Rumi’s hands later in a shot, Robbie and Rumi end up getting married, but still not fully together.

Jab who Tumhe pyaar karta hai toh tum aankh band kar ke mujhe …….

Ho jayega pyaar

The trailer hurts with a jolt with a shot showing chooda-clad Rumi, sitting beside Robbie and face-to-face with her old flame Vicky. Manmarziyaan trailer ends on a funny note with Rumi ranting to some chachi how their honeymoon as there was no condom.

Well, going by the trailer, maybe owing to Punjabi lingua and similar plot, Manmarziyaan seems to have some passing shades of Dev D, but definitely for good. After all, there is something about Anurag Kashyap movies that makes them look damn relatable, ironically amusing and satirical.

Vicky Kaushal is, as usual, has gotten into the skin of his character and in a moment, just like that, we completely got over Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal of “Sanju” and fallen in love with this carefree Punjabi lad. Taapsee is super convincing and so is Abhishek.

The music by Amit Trivedi is spot-on. Can’t wait for the musical release of this one.

Manmarziyaan is set to release on Sept. 14. Until then, watch the trailer right here and we can bet you will find yourself flipping some long-forgotten pages of your own life:
