Hope Aur Hum Trailer Review

(Last Updated On: April 24, 2018)

Here comes what seems to be a perfect ingredient for a fun-filled summer. T-Series just launched the trailer of Hope Aur Hum, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Sonali Kulkarni, and web-series star Naveen Kasturia, and we can’t stop watching it in the loop.

Hope Aur Hum is a slice-of-life story of a simple and an ordinary Srivastava family of three generations co-existing with their own set of values and beliefs. The beginning of Hope Aur Hum trailer shows the complete family enjoying dinner accompanied with the usual banter when we spot a little grumpy face of Kabir Sajid complaining about the food. Super cute!

Naseeruddin’s character seems to be obsessed with an age-old, traditional, bulky copying machine called Mr. Sonnecken to whom he adorably is seen giving a pep talk to perform or else “somebody younger will be waiting to take your place.” Obviously, he is a hoarder as the house is seen filled with antique items from his young days.

Sonali’s character is a dutiful wife, daughter-in-law and a mother who seems to be the common thread among the three generations. Aamir Mishra is playing the role of her husband in this family fun film.

But the surprise package here is, of course apart from Naseeruddin and Sonali, is Naveen who is a well-known face for Millenials owing to his popular web-series like TVF Pitchers and Bachelors and Bose: Dead Or Alive. The actor is most probably playing the young, single brother-in-law of Sonali who ventures out to find love in unusual circumstances.

The movie is written and directed by Sudip Bandyopadhyay. It is produced by Samira Bandyopadhyay and is presented by Thumbnail Pictures.

No wonder the USP of Hope Aur Hum, apart from foot-tapping music by Rupert Fernandez, seems to be its amazing cast. Watching Naseeruddin on screen is always a pleasure, all thanks to his fine craft and nuances. It is such a refreshingly warm feeling to see Sonali back in action. And it is equally exciting to see Naveen venturing out on big screens.

So, watch the generations of this unique yet ordinary family venture out on their own path on May 11. Until then watch Hope Aur Hum trailer below:
