Ever since “Padmavati” song “Ek Dil Ek Jaan” got released, the world is seemingly gushing about nothing but Shahid Kapoor ’s drool-worthy hot body. However, getting these six-pack abs was never an easy breeze.
Apart from grand shots and Ranveer Singh’s beastly look, another thing that made everyone into talking after “Padmavati” trailer was Shahid’s hot bare-chested look. As the report suggests, the actor, who is known to be a fitness freak, did not prepare his body especially for the much-talked-about movie. Instead, maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali got so much impressed with his fitness level that he decided to put his bare chest to some good use.
It turns out that a lot of sweat has gone into the Maharawal Ratan Singh’s hot look. Giving us a sneak peek into what goes into the making of such a look, Shahid’s trainer Samir Jaura told Bollywood Life that it took about four months for the actor to shape up his body the way we are seeing in “Padmavati” trailer and song. Here are excerpts of Shahid’s fitness routine to achieve “Padmavati” look:
- Low- Carb Diet:
Shahid was on a very low-carb vegetarian diet since he “had to look leaner and lose a little weight too.”
- Strict Diet Plan:
Shahid’s diet during the tenure included lots of brown rice, quinoa, and broccoli. The actor used to have six meals a day:
- Oatmeal and dry fruits for breakfast
- Protein shake with some fruits at 11:30 am
- Rajma, brown rice, broccoli, and quinoa for lunch
- Moong or chickpea salad or peanuts for evening snack
- Protein shake after gym
- Salad with some pulses and green veggies or just a soup for dinner
- Work-Out Regime:
Shahid’s workout session consisted of lots of functional training sessions. The actor used to do “a lot of boot camp kind of training on the beach, which had him working out with ropes, sandbags.”
