Childhood is incomparable. And so are its rumors.
Every school, every neighborhood, every family has a rumor which the kids swear by. But back in the 90s, there were some rumors that superseded geographical, racial and gender boundaries and almost became universally accepted truths. Well, almost!
And why not be the case as those were the time sans internet. With no Google, YouTube, Wikipedia or Quora at a finger touch away, we kids from the 90s were not overloaded with tons of information. Elder siblings and cousins were our Google and cable TV was our YouTube.
To give an ode to the times gone by, #90sKidsRumors is currently trending on Twitter and users are on a major nostalgia trip. From quirky trivia about comic books to anecdotes about sports personalities to myths which we believed to be true, its impossible not to feel that way after reading these tweets. (Damn, these are so relatable.)
Seeing 2 mynah birds is auspicious and it is good luck while seeing a single 1 is bad luck😂😂 so whenever we used to see single mynah we always used to search the other one for good luck.
And as soon as we see couple mynah birds we used to just kiss 2 fingers🤣#90sKidsRumors

A bit late to the party, but here’s my #90skidsrumors tale… One thing I thought was true in the 1990s was that the Pakistan cricket team was unbeatable when their matches were scheduled on Fridays.
