A new month, some new movies and a brand new hope!
Well, here comes April, bringing in its tow a very interesting and varied bouquet of some intense, realistic and comedy movies. Be it Varun Dhawan’s “October” or Majid Majidi’s “Beyond The Clouds” or Abhay Deol’s “Nanu Ki Jaanu,” let’s admit we all are secretly waiting for some much-awaited and promising Hindi movies releasing in April.
Ourtitbits is here with a list of must-watch Hindi movies releasing in April 2018 so that you can plan your weekends judiciously:
- Blackmail (April 6):
This Irrfan Khan starrer is a dark comedy by Abhinay Deo, who had also directed 2011 hit “Delhi Belly.” Also starring “Pink” actress Kirti Kulhari, Divya Dutta and Arunoday Singh, the movie is about how the life of a middle-aged married man, who is stuck in a full day-time job and unexciting life, turns after he finds that his wife is having an extramarital affair. Seems amusing!
- October (April 13):
Directed by Shoojit Sircar of “Vicky Donor” and “Piku” fame, “October” is set to star debut actress Banita Sandhu apart from Varun Dhawan. Well, Shoojit and Varun seem to be a very fresh and interesting combination, the effect of which can be seen in the trailer. It is safe to say Varun has never appeared so much intense and sincere (maybe except “Badlapur”).
- Omerta (April 20):
Directed by Hansal Mehta, this biographical crime drama is based on the life of Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, the infamous British terrorist of Pakistani descent. Touted as “an uncomfortable film” by the renowned director, “Omerta” is said to feature several real-life footages of Indian Airlines 814 hijacking and September 11 attacks. Should not be missed at all!
- Beyond The Clouds (April 20):
Directed by famous Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi, the movie, starring Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan, dwells on the adoration of love, life and nuanced human relationships that exist the underbelly of Mumbai. The icing on the cake here is the music by A.R. Rehman.
- Nanu Ki Jaanu (April 20):
After a gap of two years, Abhay Deol is arriving in this movie as Delhi mafia agent whose house is inhabited by a ghost. The dark comedy also stars Patralekhaa, Brijendra Kala, Manoj Pahwa and Manu Rishi Chadha.
- High Jack (April 20):
Deemed as a stoner comedy, this movie stars web-series star Sumeet Vyas. From the trailer, it seems to be a roller coaster plane ride with some clueless hijackers and a few high passengers.
